Ghost Mountain Inn is the ideal location from which to explore the array of wildlife and coastal reserves of Zululand and the Elephant Coast.

Hluhluwe and Mkhuze Game Reserves offer the Big 5 that include elephant, rhino, lion, leopard and buffalo as well as world acclaimed birding. A bit further visit Ndumu, Thembe Elephant Reserve, Kosi Bay, Ithala and Sodwana Bay.

Should you want to experience a guided tour on a game viewing vehicle with one of our enthusiastic and knowledgeable rangers, we offer half and full day Game Drives in the uMkhuze and Hluhluwe Game Reserves. A Night Drive is another option where one can experience the African night with its magnificent skies and the possibility of nocturnal species such as ant-bear (aardvark), leopard, genets, night jars and a host of smaller creatures.

Another very popular wildlife activity at Ghost Mountain Inn is the Boat Cruise on Lake Jozini. On this 3 – 4 hour safari experience one might see elephant, rhino, hippo and crocodile.
